The People and Culture Manager is responsible for fostering a positive and high-performance culture within the company. This role involves developing and implementing HR practices and strategies that support our business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and create an environment where individuals can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership
- Collaborate with leadership to understand their goals and objectives, providing insights and strategies that support business needs.
- Develop and implement initiatives that align with the overall business strategy, including workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR matters, including performance management, organisational development, and employee relations.
- Work closely with internal teams on budgets and workforce planning.
Employee Engagement and Experience
- Implement initiatives that align with the company's values and mission.
- Provide support to individuals throughout key moments in the employee lifecycle.
HR Policy and Administration
- Develop, review and update company policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, as well as alignment with best practices and our business goals.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues and policies.
- Manage our HRMS and HR-related tools, including maintaining our employee records and liaising with solution providers.
Performance Management
- Oversee the performance management process, ensuring it is fair and aligned with organisational goals.
- Provide training and support to managers on conducting performance reviews and providing constructive feedback.
- Identify and address performance issues, working with managers to develop improvement plans as needed.
Payroll Management
- Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, labour regulations and company policies regarding payroll.
Recruitment
- Lead and manage the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract talent and build a dynamic workforce.
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the company, and provided with the necessary resources and support to shorten on-ramp time.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HR Manager, People and Culture Manager, or similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices and employment laws.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies that enhance employee engagement, performance and organisational culture towards business goals.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
