Tribe is looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to help expand our partner network in Japan. The role will focus on driving innovation and growth in the AI ecosystem. The candidate will be responsible for engaging with AI startup communities, multinational corporations for partnerships, as well as organising programs to strengthen partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

Growing our Partner Network in Japan

Identify, approach, and establish relationships with AI groups, startup communities, and multinational corporations in Japan that align with our goals. Focus on creating partnerships that drive growth and innovation.

Account Management

Nurture and maintain effective relationships with corporate and government partners to facilitate ongoing collaboration.

Program Management

Plan, coordinate, and execute programs for our global AI accelerator program that will involve AI startup founders, investment partners and industry partners.

Government Relations

Working closely with government partners to design programs that will effectively meet key objectives set out by multiple stakeholders to drive AI innovation and support entrepreneurship in the region.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Japanese (verbal and written proficiency).
  • Previous experience in a partnerships or business development role, preferably within the tech or startup ecosystem.
  • Keen interest in AI innovations and emerging technologies.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to work independently
